2 Job Description:
Location: Carlisle (CA1)
Salary: £13ph+
Hours: Monday – Friday / 06:00am – 14:00pm
As an Industrial Cleaner at McVitie’s Biscuit Factory, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across production areas and heavy-duty machinery. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including moving boxes and operating industrial cleaning equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
3 Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise production areas, machinery, and floors to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Move heavy boxes and equipment safely as part of daily cleaning routines.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with health and safety regulations.
- Follow COSHH and food hygiene procedures to ensure a compliant and safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
- Work efficiently as part of a team in a busy industrial setting.
4 Required Skills:
- Previous experience in industrial or food production cleaning preferred.
- Ability to work physically, including moving heavy boxes and operating cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in industrial environments.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
