Hours: 2 Weeks On & 2 Weeks Off Reoccurring
As a Live-In Carer in Manchester, you will provide round-the-clock support for an individual recently discharged from hospital, assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and emotional wellbeing. This role operates on a 2-week on, 2-week off block schedule, with food provided by the care team, offering a structured and rewarding placement for experienced carers.
3 Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medications as per care plan and monitor the client’s health.
- Prepare meals and support nutritional needs, with food provided by the care team.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and household management.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote wellbeing and independence.
- Ensure a safe environment, identifying and reporting any health or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team and family members.
4 Required Skills:
- Previous experience in live-in care or supporting individuals post-hospital discharge (essential).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage round-the-clock responsibilities.
- Understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
- Relevant care qualifications or experience in social care/healthcare (preferred).
- Flexibility to work 2-week block shifts.
