Job Description:
Location: Edinburgh (EH12)
Salary: £12.21ph+
Hours: 15:00pm – 18:00pm
As a School Cleaner in Edinburgh, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Your role is essential in ensuring classrooms, corridors, and communal areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene, supporting a positive and healthy learning atmosphere every day.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas.
- Clean and sanitise surfaces, floors, desks, and washrooms to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty bins, manage waste disposal, and restock cleaning and hygiene supplies.
- Follow health and safety procedures and use cleaning products appropriately.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the site supervisor or facilities team.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard, with minimal disruption to the school day.
Required Skills:
- Previous cleaning experience in a school, office, or similar environment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety and COSHH guidelines.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
