2 Job Description:
Location: Wolverhampton (WV11)
Salary: £12.21ph+
Hours: Monday to Friday / 09:00am – 17:00pm
As a Youth Worker, you will support young adolescents reintegrating into the community by providing guidance, mentorship, and practical support. Your role will focus on building confidence, developing life skills, and helping young people make positive choices that promote personal growth and social inclusion.
3 Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one and in small groups with adolescents to provide guidance and emotional support.
- Help young people reintegrate into the community through constructive activities and social engagement.
- Support the development of confidence, independence, and life skills.
- Collaborate with schools, local authorities, and community services to implement individual support plans.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and report on outcomes.
- Advocate for young people’s needs and ensure safeguarding and confidentiality standards are upheld.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help young people set and achieve realistic personal goals.
4 Required Skills:
- Previous experience working with young people in youth work, social care, or community support settings (essential).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and manage challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Health & Social Care, or related fields (desirable).
